macOS Setup Guide

Follow these 7 simple steps to get Cheating Dev running perfectly on your Mac.

Download & Install

Get the latest version of the app.

Download Page

Extract the zip file and drag the app to your Applications folder.

Fix "App is Damaged"

Run this command to fix the macOS security warning.

Open App & Login

Launch the app and sign in with your account.

Enable Permissions

Allow screen and audio recording for AI analysis.

⚡️

"Cheating Dev" would like to record this computer's screen and audio.

Grant access to this application in Privacy & Security settings, located in System Settings.

Open System Settings
Deny

1. Click "Open System Settings"

2. Toggle permissions ON

Enable Audio Helper

This allows the app to hear your system audio.

Note: The audio helper is a separate tool controlled by macOS. We need to manually add it to Screen Recording.

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
  2. Click the + button to add an application.
  3. Press Cmd+Shift+G to open "Go to Folder".
  4. Paste this path:
    /Applications/Cheating Dev.app/Contents/Resources/
  5. Select SystemAudioDump and click Open.
  6. Enable the toggle next to SystemAudioDump.

Restart Mac & App

Restarting ensures all permissions are applied correctly.
